Elizabeth “Libby” Marine Cook of Laurel passed away on March 3, 2024 at Seaford Center surrounded by her loving family. Elizabeth “Libby” was born on April 12, 1947 to the late George T. Marine and Harriett E. Collins Marie.
She was a graduate of Laurel High School in the class of 1965. Libby was retired as an X-Ray Tech with Peninsula Orthopedics. She was a member of Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church and enjoyed gardening, quilting and sewing.
Libby is survived by her sons, William “Bill” Thomas Cook, Richard “Rick” F. Cook and his wife Janet; sister, Trudy Jones; grandchildren, Catlin Hill (Keith), Coleman Cook; great-grandchildren, Shepard Hill, Granger Hill, and Baylor Hill. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John “Jack” W. Cook and her sister, Peggy Holloway.
A visitation will be held on Friday, March 15 from noon-1 p.m. at Mt. Pleasant United Methodist, 33038 Mt. Pleasant Rd., Laurel, Delaware 19956. A funeral service will begin at 1 p.m. Pastor Lisa Hines will officiate. Interment will follow in Odd Fellows Cemetery in Laurel.
