Elisa Marie Horsey, daughter of the late Melvin and Helena Horsey, was born on Monday, Dec. 14, 1964. She departed this life on Sunday, Sept. 26, 2021 at TidalHealth Hospital in Salisbury. 

Elisa received her education from the Laurel School District, graduating with the class of 1983. Elisa was a faithful employee of Mountaire Farms in Millsboro, where she began her career with the company in 1988. She worked for Mountaire for 33 years and held various positions.  

Elisa loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. Elisa could often be found shopping at her favorite stores, HomeGoods and Roses. Her favorite pastime was enjoying Lifetime movies, talking on the phone, as well as playing games on her phone. She also enjoyed completing crossword puzzles.  

Elisa was preceded in death by one daughter, Candise Marie Horsey-Rosembert; her parents, Melvin and Helena Horsey; two sisters, Mary Ann Birdsong and Brenda Kay Horsey and two brothers, James and Robert Horsey.

Elisa leaves to cherish her memory, her children: Michael Horsey (Sharon) of Delmar; Dontez Horsey (Celci) of Milford; Brandon Horsey (Jasmine) of Delmar; Danielle Horsey (Patrick) of Delmar; and Donelle Horsey of Blades; 14 grandchildren; two brothers, Edward Horsey of Cambridge and Ricky Horsey, Sr. (Cheryl) of Dagsboro; two sisters, Barbara and Wanda Horsey, both of Laurel; one godson, Kionte’ “Bud” Jones of Millsboro; son-in-law Emmanuel Rosembert of Smyrna; two very close friends, Violet Broughton of Seaford and Regina Taylor of Millsboro; lifetime best friend, Michael Hyland of Laurel, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
