Edna Mae Smith of Seaford departed this life on Sunday, Oct. 25, 2020 at Lofland Park Center in Seaford. Born in Princess Anne, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Bessie Jones. 

Mrs. Smith was a member of Rehoboth Temple of Praise in Laurel where she was the Church Mother and a member of the Hospitality Ministry.

She will be lovingly remembered by: two daughters, Veronica L. Burke and Dorothea M. DeVore (Steven); four sons, Edward Burke, Bruce Burke (Priscilla), Craig Smith, and Carey Smith; three cousins, Patricia Lenore, Journal Jones (Barbara Jones), and Earl Jones; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, other cousins, relatives, in-laws, and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husbands, Wilbert C. Smith and William T. Burke; two sons, Michael Smith and Wilbert Smith; three brothers, George Jones, James Jones, and Lester Jones; one sister, Mary Ennis; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Mrs. Smith will lie in repose on Saturday, Nov. 7 from 11 a.m. to noon at Citadel of Hope Deliverance Ministries, Inc., 25371 Honeysuckle Drive, Seaford. The funeral service will begin at noon.
