Douglas Manning Waller of Seaford passed away peacefully on Monday, Nov. 23, 2020 at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania after a long and hard fought battle with heart disease. 

He was born Dec. 22, 1962 in Seaford, a son of the late Manning V. Waller and June Spayd Waller.

Doug graduated from Seaford High School with the class of 1980. In his early days he worked at Burton Brothers, Skywatch and even worked as a carpenter. For the past 20 years he worked for Millwrights Local 219 where he had many duties working with precision machinery. He was an active member of the Seaford Elks Lodge.

Doug loved to travel and he looked forward to his annual trips to his favorite spot in Aruba. He enjoyed riding his Harley, farming, fishing and playing cards. He never met a stranger and had a special place in his heart for animals and pets. Doug will be sorely missed by many and will be remembered for his love for his family and friends and for his big heart and caring ways.

He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Christine C. Waller; daughters, Brandy Widdowson, Holly Ayers and Megan Hare (Matthew); nine beloved grandchildren, K-Ci Widdowson, Cole Widdowson, Bailey Ensor, Brenna Miller, Tatum Ayers, Aully Ayers, Hensley Lyons, Madison Hare and Makenzie Hare; brothers, Gary Waller (Ila) and Mark Waller (Connie); a sister, Cathy Young (Jimmy); and a brother-in-law, Phil Craft (Dodi). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews; and his special four-legged children, “Oggy,” “Onyx” and “Bella.”

Services will be at a later date at the Seaford Elks Lodge.
