Dorothy Ann Pusey Griffin of Laurel passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, Aug. 8, 2021.

She was born March 20, 1943 in Delmar, a daughter of the late Franklin McKinley Pusey and Delema Dickerson Pusey.

Dot grew up in Delmar and attended school there in her younger days. She started working at an early age where she developed a strong work ethic. She loved people and enjoyed working as a waitress for over 20 years at the former Johnny and Sammy’s Restaurant in Salisbury. She also worked for several years at Mark V in Delmar, where she enjoyed the many different top musical acts that played there. She was a long-time member of the First Baptist Church of Laurel. Dot enjoyed spending time with her family, was a wonderful cook and will be remembered as a loving, free-spirited mother, grandmother, sister and aunt.

She is survived by sons, David Allan Koster of Laurel and Steven Paul Koster of Tennessee; grandchildren, Steve Koster, Doug Feaster, Hunter Koster, Jamie Feaster, Bobbie Koster and Hannah Koster; great-grandchildren, Elizabeth, Kaya, Jacob, Jaxon, Jacob, Willow, Gunner, JJ and Dalton; a brother, Freddie Pusey of Laurel; a sister, Rachel Stearns of South Carolina; and many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her beloved dog, “Rocko.”

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by daughters, Faith Marie Feaster and Donna Lynn Koster; grandchildren, Breanna Koster and Ernie Bailey; great-granddaughter, Arizona; brothers, George, Leroy, Franklin, Bobby and Melvin Pusey; and sisters, Anna Mae Cooper Baker, Rose Ruark, Helen Knowles, Madeline Hill and Beatrice Tull.

Services will be held at the First Baptist Church of Laurel at a later date.
