Doris Lingo Williamson of Laurel passed away at the Milford Center in Milford on Dec. 5, 2021. Born in Lewes, she was the daughter of the late Clifford and Julia Lingo. Doris was retired as a secretary for DelDOT. She and her late husband Clarence, “Nubbie,” enjoyed working together in their grass cutting business in Nanticoke, Md. 

She enjoyed putting puzzles together, visiting yard sales, working in her consignment shop, and volunteering at the Westside Fire Company, where she helped serve many dinners and baked many delicious pies and cakes. 

She is survived by her son, Doug Milner of Laurel; brother, Earl Lingo and his wife Doris Ann; nieces, Debbie Lingo Steele and Joan Lingo Tyndall; nephews, Charles Zonko and Mike Zonko; several great nieces and nephews also survive her. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Clarence “Nubbie” Williamson; a baby brother, and his sister, Katherine Folk. 

A funeral service was held on Friday, Dec. 10, 2021, at the Hannigan, Short, Disharoon Funeral Home, Laurel. Pastor Joe LeCates officiated. Interment followed in St. Johnstown Cemetery in Greenwood.  Arrangements are in the care of the Hannigan, Short, Disharoon Funeral Home in Laurel.
