Dianne Hope Callaway of Seaford passed away peacefully on May 5, 2025, with her family by her side. Dianne was born on Dec. 18, 1946, the daughter of the late Joseph and Winifred Wright.

Dianne retired from Nanticoke Memorial Hospital where she worked as a physical therapy aide. She enjoyed camping and traveling with her family, and she loved her dogs, Gizmo, Furball, Chyna, Macy, and Jackson.

She is preceded in death by her parents Joseph and Winifred Wright; her first husband Vernon Whaley Sr., and two sisters, Carolyn O’Neal and Rita Marvell.

Dianne is survived by her husband of 29 years, Ronnie Callaway; three sons, Vernon Whaley, Chris Whaley, and Bryan Callaway; one daughter, Leanne Callaway; seven grandchildren, Cassie Callaway, Dylan Callaway, Chloe Callaway, Malcolm Christoph, Vance Joseph Jr, Ray Joseph, and Hannah Millman; two sisters, Joanne Veazey and Joyce Aguillon, as well as many great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 16 at 1 p.m. with a public viewing from noon to 1 p.m. at Cranston Funeral Home, 300 N Shipley Street, Seaford, DE. Interment will follow funeral services at Portsville United Methodist Church Cemetery.
