Deborah “Debbie” L. McEckron of Laurel passed away peacefully on July 27, 2026. She was born on Dec. 28, 1956, the daughter of the late James and Helen Kinley.

Debbie loved arts and crafts, playing bingo anywhere she could from carnivals to casinos, fishing on the Nanticoke River, and spending time with her family.

Debbie is survived by her husband of 26 years, Ernest McEckron; two sons, Johnny Romat and William “Bill” Crowley; one daughter, Jessica Thomison (Chris); five grandchildren; and her brother, James Darren Kinley.

She is preceded in death by her parents, James and Helen Kinley; one son, Jason Romat; one daughter, Annie Crowley; and one sister, Darlene Dipalama.

Services will be private.
