David Medford “Katfish” Carpenter of Seaford passed away peacefully with his family at his side on Dec. 25, 2024, Christmas night.
Born on Jan. 6, 1945, in Pittsburgh, Pa., he was the son of the late Medford Benson Carpenter and Margaret Emma Short.
On April 26, 1969, David married the love of his life, the former Karen Mae Stokes, to whom he was married for 55 1/2 years. Along with his loving wife, he is survived by five children; 14 grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren.
Along with his parents, David is preceded in death by his sisters, Joyce Roe and Nancy Boyles and brother, Skip Carpenter.
A celebration of Katfish’s life will be announced.
