David Collins Hastings of Seaford passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Aug. 4. 

David was born in Seaford on July 27, 1964, the son of the late Vernon Edward “Nip” Hastings and Fannie Collins Hastings. He graduated from Seaford High School in 1983. He was employed at NRG Power Plant and prior to that he was employed at DuPont.

 He is survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Barry and Lisa Hastings; niece Jennifer Hastings and her son Colin; nephew Barry Hastings II and his wife Nicole and their children, Aubree and Bentley. He is also survived by a host of family and friends and Mavia Todd and Wayne and Toni Culver, whom he considered part of his family. 

David enjoyed lending a hand and helping everyone he could.

Funeral Services will be on Saturday, Aug. 15 at 1 p.m. at the Cranston Funeral Home, 300 N. Shipley St., Seaford, where friends may call from noon to 1 p.m. Burial will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery.
