David Bryan Walker of Seaford passed away on Saturday, March 16, 2024. David was born in Delmar on July 4, 1955, to Mary and George Walker.
David graduated from Delmar High School in 1974 and married his high school sweetheart, Wendy, in the same year. David worked as a machinist at the DuPont Nylon Plant until his retirement. After his retirement from the plant, he began working at Nanticoke Hospital. He worked there until his second retirement in 2020.
David was a prankster with a big heart, who never met a stranger. He was also a Mr. Fix It and would be ready to help anyone in need. He loved spending time outdoors, especially with his family. You could often find him at the beach, fishing, BBQing, camping, working on cars, or sitting by the fire with Wendy. David had a big heart and truly loved his wife and family. David will be remembered for his unconditional love for all living things.
David was preceded in death by his grandparents, Joel and Marie Walker, and Wilber and Beatrice Collins; parents, George and Mary Walker; and sister, Cynthia (Mike) Reynolds.
David is survived by his wife of 50 years, Wendy; three children, Jennifer (Brian) Holben, Tessa (Phil Doughty) Walker, and Bryan (Heather) Walker; grandchildren, Jordan Walker, Brady Green, Tyler Miller, Connor Doughty, and Owen Walker; brother, George (Cindy) Walker; sister, Vickie (Albert) Wilkerson; and lots of cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Remembrance of life will be held on April 20 at 2 p.m. at the VFW located at 9767 Middleford Rd. in Seaford.
