David A. Passwaters, Jr. of Milford passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, Dec. 29, 2024 surrounded by family members.

David was born on Sept. 1, 1938, in Concord to the late Doris (Collins) Passwaters and David A. Passwaters, Sr.

David played on the first Blue/Gold football game for Seaford High School, and held the record for many years for “most intercepted passes”. He worked as the advertising director of the Milford Chronicle, and subsequently purchased the printing business and owned it for 20 years. Upon retirement from the printing business he worked for the Milford Chamber of Commerce as executive director. After his retirement from Milford, he began to work part-time for the News Journal as a district manager. He was a man who was deeply involved in his community, and was the president of the Milford Jaycees and the Milford Rotary Club.

In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his sister Elizabeth Passwaters Crockett.

He is survived by his wife Judith Dege Passwaters; son Col. Ret. David A. Passwaters III (Barbara); daughter Melissa (Harold) Webb; grandchildren, MSgt. David A. Passwaters IV (Crystal), Michael Passwaters, Sean Passwaters, and Erica Passwaters; his precious great grandchildren, who he adored, Bryce Arial Passwaters, Ava Rose Passwaters, and Enzo Mendenz; and also his brothers James (Bonnie) Passwaters and Frank (Pam) Passwaters; and his many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
