Daniel W. Messick (Danny) of Bridgeville passed away on Sept. 16, 2020. Mr. Messick was born Feb. 17, 1954 to Ivory Seymour and William Messick. Daniel was raised in Federalsburg, he was a lifelong poultry grower and farmer.
Danny is survived by his daughter Britni Messick Townley; mother Ivory Seymour; sisters, Bonnie and Angela Walker and Debbie White; brother, David Messick; grandchildren, Jordan, Kylee, Lizzie, Hailey, Alyssa and Megan; and several nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and close friends. Mr. Messick was preceded in death by his father William Messick, second mother Sally Messick and a very special sister-in-law Lynn Messick.
Danny will always be remembered for his gentle demeanor, kindness, and generosity; as well as the love he had for his family, antiques, nature and animals. All services will be held Oct. 3 at 1 p.m. at St. John’s Church in Seaford on Pine St. Please consider a donation to the Delaware SPCA in his name.
