Craig Littleton of Laurel, passed away on Nov. 26, 2025, at this home surrounded by his loving family. Craig was born on Sept. 26, 1943, to the late Alton James Littleton and Margaret Virginia Jones Littleton. From birth his parents said he was a very courageous, determined and adventurous soul; always keeping everyone on their toes with his fun-loving spirit which he carried with him his entire life. He was famous for his sense of humor, quick wit, and his love of telling a good joke.
Craig graduated from Laurel High School’s “class of 1962,” and was proud to be the third generation to lead his family’s business, W. C. Littleton and Son. He loved his community and serving many organizations within Laurel. Craig was a member of Centenary United Methodist Church, serving on the Board of Trustees; American Legion Post #19, Past President and Vice President of the Laurel Ruritan Club; Charter member of the local and state Jaycee’s, where he enjoyed organizing the gifts for the residents at the Stockley Center; and a Charter member of the Laurel Redevelopment Corporation. He truly enjoyed being with his family and friends, playing cards, decorating his yard for Christmas and celebrating the Fourth of July.
Craig is survived by his loving wife, Juanita Downs Littleton; daughters, Lenice Jewell (Steve) and Debbie Harrington (Chuck); sister, Marsha Taylor; grandchildren, April Johnson (Ricky), .Gregory Harrington (Johnny), Trey Harrington (Samantha); great grandchildren, Ricky Johnson III (Avlynn), Hayden Johnson, and Lucas Harrington. Several nieces and nephews also survive him.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers, Wayne and Gene Littleton. The family would like to thank Delaware Hospice for their guidance and compassion for Craig. A viewing will be held on Sunday, Dec. 7 from 1-3 p.m. at Centenary United Methodist Church, 200 West Market Street, Laurel, Delaware 19956. A funeral celebration will follow at 3 p.m. Craig loved life and his wish was for everyone in attendance to dress casual in his honor. The graveside service will be private. Pastor Dean Perdue and Reverend Joh Van Tine will officiate.
