Christina Marie [Brex] Reaser passed peacefully on Sunday, Sept. 7, 2025, at her home surrounded by her loving family. Born Jan. 6, 1952, in Brooklyn, New York, she is the daughter of the late William Thomas Brex and Rita Marie [LaChance] Brex.
Christina – affectionately known by her friends and family as Tina or T.M. or Ma! – was the most loving, compassionate, genuine, and devoted person of faith, to everyone blessed to be a part of her life, whether family, friends, coworkers, neighbors, or strangers.
She and her mother were instrumental staff at the former Seaford Leader and State Register, and integral in the creation of Morning Star Publications.
Over the decades of dedication, they met countless friends and memorable colleagues.
Working at ‘The Paper,’ she always got advance notice of tickets to a wide variety of shows and events in the area, and Tina was always so thrilled to share with her girls and her grandkids! So many wonderful memories were made.
She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Chris Jay Reaser; her cherished Uncle Peter and his wife, Aunt Aurora LaChance of Orlando, FL; her siblings – William Brex and his wife, Jean, of Bridgeville, Rita Moles and her husband, Peter, of Highlands, NJ, Thomas Brex and his wife, Tracy, of Netcong, NJ, Lawrence Brex and his wife, Kathleen, of Allendale, NJ, Arlene Dare of Fort Lee, NJ; sister-in-law, Carol Lynn [Reaser] Lang; her daughters – Charlene Lynn Reaser, Catherine Ann [Reaser] Williamson, and Carol Marie [Reaser] James; grandchildren – Makayla Marie James, Lyla Soleil Cornman, Christina Haylee Orlean James, Cadence Alexa James, Liam Gareth Harrison, Starla Celeste Williamson, and Declan Brice Dougherty; great-grandchildren – Caidyn Michael James Sullivan, Jayce Allen James, and new great-grandbaby on the way; a multitude of wonderful cousins, nephews, and nieces. Dozens, if not hundreds, more ‘adopted’ family members – children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, brothers, sisters.
In addition to her parents, Tina is preceded in death by her grandparents, Peter Alfred and Lea Rose [Gagner] LaChance, in-laws, Clifford Edgar Reaser and Frances Musumeci Reaser, Aunt Patricia Agnes [LaChance] and Uncle Jackie Brex, Aunt Lucile Aline [LaChance] and Uncle Arty Sosa, Aunt Jeanine [LaChance] and Uncle Donald McBride, her beloved brother, Peter T Brex, and his wife, Ramona [Ippolito] Brex; John Brex, Joan Marie LaChance, Jeannine, Debra, Tommy, Donald, Brian, and Loretta McBride and other beloved cousins; brother-in-law, Paul Lang.
Tina will always be remembered for her warm smile, kind eyes, sincerest love, and big hugs. She loved completely, worked tirelessly, and gave selflessly to the world around her –
Then gained her wings and entered the Gates of Heaven to spread her love above!
A memorial gathering to celebrate this beautiful woman’s life will be planned and announced at a later date.
