Charlene Dukes Layton was born August 6, 1946 in Laurel. We sadly said goodbye to her on July 7, 2021. She was preceded in death by her parents Charles and Ethel Dukes, her brother Ivin Dukes and her husband Donald Layton Sr.
She is lovingly remembered by her brother Clarence Dukes (sister-in-law Shirley), daughter Phyllis Spencer (son-in-law Lance Spencer), son Donald Layton Jr. (daughter-in-law Samantha Layton), grandchildren Lori Morris (grandson-in-law Zach Morris), Adam Spencer, and Scott Layton, and one great-grandson Zayne Morris.
There was a small service held at Laurel Wesleyan Church on Monday July 19.
