CarolSue Crimmins of Seaford passed away on Feb. 29, 2024. Her kindness and generosity of spirit have been felt by all whose lives she touched. She will be greatly missed by many.
CarolSue was born on June 18, 1961. She grew up in Seaford, graduating from Seaford High School in 1979 and Goldey Beacom College in 1981. She spent more than 10 years in the insurance industry before embarking on her career in real estate in 1994. CarolSue opened her own company, CAREFREE Real Estate, in 1998. She truly enjoyed helping people find their homes. CarolSue spent 30 years working with buyers, sellers, other agents and brokers, helping them all navigate the process successfully. Doing things the right way and doing the right thing were always paramount for CarolSue, in business and in life.
CarolSue always strived to make things better for everyone around her. Her generosity of spirit encompassed everyone she encountered, in business and in life. She was always ready with a helping hand, a workable solution, and a hot meal. She loved to cook and to feed her loved ones, her friends and even strangers. And all those she considered her friends received her unwavering support in all ways. CarolSue was a woman of faith and a patriot who was proud of our men and women in uniform, especially those in her family.
Family always came first! She loved and supported her family, and to CarolSue there was family by blood and family by choice; both were dear to her. CarolSue always tried to do what was best for all her loved ones even when they didn’t want it. Fortunately for her “kids,” her two nephews and now three nieces, her strong-willed love and care for them was tempered by her fantastic sense of humor and the sound of her joyful laughter. The absence of her unending love for everyone around her will be felt in many broken hearts.
CarolSue is survived by her father, John F. Crimmins; her brother Dave (Katy); her sister Denice Cordrey; niece Maddie Crimmins; nephew Jay Crimmins; nephew Cameron Cordrey (Haley); and niece Logan Cordrey.
A funeral mass will be celebrated for CarolSue Crimmins at Our Lady of Lourdes in Seaford on Monday, March 11 at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Disabled American Veterans.
