Bobbie L. Adkins of Bridgeville passed away in his sleep on Monday, May 3, 2021. He was born on Oct. 2, 1942 in Virginia, son of the late Genevieve Piland Adkins.
Bobbie worked for years as a millwright in fabwork and custom welding for Bradley and Russell, Newtons, Dupont, and Messick and Gray. He was also a custom builder of cars and trucks that went on to win local and national awards.
Bobbie is survived by his brother, Samuel T. Adkins and wife Valerie of Seaford; his sisters: Brenda S. Adkins of Lewes, and Deborah E. Adkins Hudson of Delmar, Md.
A celebration of Bobbie’s life will be held on June 19, from 1 to 3:30 p.m. at the VFW Post 4961, 9767 Middleford Rd, Seaford, DE 19973. The family requests that friends bring their cars and trucks that Bobbie built or worked on to the VFW.
