Beverly A. Graves of Georgetown passed away peacefully at home with her family by her side on Aug. 13, 2025. She was born in Wilmington on Oct. 6, 1952, daughter of the late James B. Wright and Myrtle A. (Bennett) Boyce.

Beverly was a 1970 graduate of Dover High School. She married the love of her life, Charles L. Graves, and together they built a beautiful life. For the first 24 years of their marriage, they lived in Wilmington, where Beverly operated her own daycare. They later moved to Georgetown, where they have resided for the past 25 years, and Beverly devoted herself to private home care. She had a heart for helping others and was known for her generosity and kindness.

A faithful member of Bethany Community Church, Beverly loved the beach and could often be found enjoying a good book.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved son, Charles “Lenny” Graves, Jr (Lori). She is survived by her devoted husband, Charles L. Graves; sons, Kirtis U. Graves and Michael T. Graves; grandchildren, Chelsea A. Brown, Sarah L. Covey, Michael S. Covey, Abigail A. Graves, Oliver U. Graves, Finna G. Graves, Piper N. Graves, Rowan G. Graves, Ava M. Graves, Bailey I. Graves, and Christopher M. Graves; brother, James B. Wright (Sharon); nieces, Amy E. Clark (Paul) and Amber E. Coverdale (Mike); great-niece, Lana Coverdale; and great-nephew, Teddy Coverdale.

A memorial service will be held at Watson Funeral Home and Crematorium, 211 S. Washington Street, Millsboro, DE 19966, on Friday, Aug. 22 at 3 p.m., with a visitation from 2–3 p.m. prior to the service.
