Betty S. Bowne of Greenwood passed away on Jan. 6, 2021. Born on Oct. 19, 1940, she was the daughter of James and Bessie Scott. She married H. Eugene Bowne and they moved to Georgetown, where they had two sons, Mark and Michael Bowne.
She worked for Fisher’s Napa Auto Parts for about three decades. She absolutely loved sports and never missed her son’s games. She loved her beloved Orioles, Colts and then Ravens. Betty adored God, family and friends.
She was a kind, loving and giving person. She loved to smile and laugh. Betty is survived by her son Michael, daughter-in-law Marian, granddaughter Talane, grandson Tyler, niece Kelly White and her husband Bryan and their children Zachary, Spencer and Madison (whom she resided with for almost two decades), nephew Brian Willin and his wife Angie, their children Josh and his family and Brooke, who too has passed but has welcomed Nanya into Heaven, not with sign language, but with voice, beauty and a big hug.

Graveside services will be on Thursday, Jan. 14 at 1 p.m. at Bloomery Cemetery.
