Betty A. Sydney of Bridgeville passed away peacefully on Saturday, Dec. 19, 2020 at her home. She was born on July 18, 1953 in Brooklyn, New York, daughter of the late Frank and Sarah (Squicciarini) Azzollini.

Betty was a graduate of Indian Hills High School, class of 1971, in Oakland, NJ. She continued her education at Ramapo College, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree, graduating with honors. Betty began her career working in accounting departments of various companies. She went on to be an active member and speaker at annual Accounting System User Conferences and became vice chairman of the Masterpiece Users Group. In 1990, Betty became senior financial software consultant, a title she held until her retirement in 2020.

Betty took great pleasure in crocheting, embroidering, and crafting, and she was an avid reader. Above all, Betty cherished time spent with those she held most dear. She was a loving and devoted wife, sister, aunt, and friend, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Betty is survived by her beloved husband of 17 years, Terry Sydney; her brothers: Sergio Azzollini (Alice), Frank Azzollini (Barbara), and William Azzollini (Debbie); her brother-in-law, John Sydney (Sue); and her 10 nieces and nephews and their families.

A memorial service will be announced in 2021. Arrangements have been entrusted to Parsell Funeral Homes and Crematorium, Hardesty Chapel, in Bridgeville.
