Alexis “Lex” Cooper of Laurel passed away Tuesday, Feb. 16, 2021 at Bayhealth Hospital Kent Campus in Dover. She was a 2017 graduate of Laurel High School and a long-time employee of BJ’s Wholesale in Millsboro.

Alexis loved her family and had many friends. Her sweet infectious smile could light up any room and will be missed by all. Alexis was the kind of person who would do absolutely anything to help a friend in need.

She is survived by her parents Steve Cooper (Kim) of Laurel and Ambre Parsons of Salisbury, Maryland; her maternal grandparents Herman Parsons (Charlotte) of Laurel and her paternal grandparents James “Jimmy” Cooper (Yvonne) of Laurel; stepbrothers Patrick Enger and Nathaniel Enger of Lincoln and Christopher Enger (Kayra) of Salisbury; and a sister Roxy Chilly of Laurel, who she absolutely adored and was the light of her life. She is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and many close friends.
