Gladys Marshall Wetherhold of Seaford passed away on Tuesday, April 6, 2021 at TidalHealth Nanticoke in Seaford.

Gladys was born in Kingston, Somerset County, Md. on Nov. 25, 1924 to Herman Edward Marshall and Alice Mae Dryden Marshall. She graduated from Washington High School in Princess Anne.

She was a very active member of the Seaford Presbyterian Church. She always tried to do her very best and would go out of her way to lend a helping hand to anyone she could. She did many jobs during her life, from seamstress, co-manager, to volunteering at many places. She also did many sports and was a member of many clubs.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband William David Wetherhold, Sr. on April 23, 1999; brothers Pitman Herman Marshall and Vernon Edward Marshall; sisters Myrtle V. Marshall Bounds and Catherine M. Marshall Hales; niece Joyce P. Bounds Smullen; and nephews Robert C. Bounds and Vernon Edward Marshall, Jr.

She is survived by nieces Joan C. Shaffer Filmer and Judy C. Marshall Bolden of Princess Anne and Janice E. Bounds Derrickson of Parsonsburg; and nephew Wayne Herman Marshall (Sandy) of Bridgeville.

She donated her body to science, the Anatomy Board of Md.
