Lola F. Elliott of Laurel passed away on Tuesday, Aug. 11, 2020 at Nanticoke Memorial Hospital in Seaford.

She was born on Oct. 17, 1937 in Newark, Md., a daughter of the late Walter Avery Timmons and Nancy Belle (Truitt) Timmons.

Lola spent her working years employed by Itsi and Nanticoke Cleaners, and as a security guard for Perdue, Inc. in Salisbury. She enjoyed watching soap operas, tending to her flowers and gardening. She had a love for listening to Alan Jackson and gospel music, watching Jimmy Swaggart, and dancing with her husband.  She enjoyed time spent with her children and grandchildren and cooking for her family and friends. 

She is survived by her children, Donna Rae Bell (Robert), David Wayne Elliott (Judy), Ronnie Lee Elliott (Kay McCrea), James Bryan Elliott (Amy), Dean Martin Elliott (Kimberly Jo), and Nancy Lee Moore (Louis); a son-in-law, Barry Wilson; grandchildren, Rodney Bell (Kelly), Keith Bell (Kimberly), Robert D. Bell (Christina), Jerry Wilson, April Wilson, Gina Wilson (Jason), Wendy Mears (Berley, Jr.), Amy Nicole Elliott-Deihm (Bryan), Billie Jo Elliott, Scott Dukes, Cassidy Watts (Colby), Taylor Elliott, Dustin Elliott (Michele), Kristin Cline (Craig), Taegan Elliott, Aaron Mayers (Danielle), Brandon Mayers (Jennifer), and Nathan Moore; 30 great-grandchildren; a sister, Elizabeth Dennis; close friends, Ella Mae McCabe, Kathleen Smith and Janie Joseph; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harvey Lee Elliott; a daughter, Eva Lynn Wilson; siblings, Wilsie Plummer, Hilda Timmons, Raymond Timmons, and Roland Timmons; and a nephew, Roland Timmons, Jr.

The family would like to express their gratitude for the wonderful care given to her by her longtime physician, Dr. Aguillon, and staff at Sussex Medical Center in Blades, Amedisys home care staff, Vitas Hospice, and the staff at Nanticoke Memorial Hospital who cared for her.

A visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday, Aug. 20, from 3 to 4 p.m. with a memorial service beginning at 4 p.m. at 3C USA Church, 38238 Old Stage Road, Delmar, DE. Due to current gathering restrictions, social distancing and masks will be required for those attending.
