Laurel boys’, girls’ track and field teams split meets with Indian River

The Laurel varsity boys’ track and field team topped Indian River, 92-45, in a home meet last Tuesday while Indian River earned a 108-27 victory over Laurel in the girls’ meet. Khalil Burton and Elias Elzey led the Bulldogs with 15 points apiece in the boys’ meet. Elzey won the 110 hurdles (15.2), 300 hurdles (41.0), and triple jump (44’ 1”) and Burton placed first in the 100 meter dash (11.2), 200 meter run (23.8), and 400 meter run (54.7). Male Athlete of the Week
Jazonte Levan- Seaford

Blue Jays’ senior Jazonte Levan won the 100 meter dash, 200 meter dash, and 400 meter run and was on the winning 4X100 meter relay team last week against Sussex Academy and Early College School@DSU.

Female Athlete of the Week
Jeannica Odaris- Seaford

Seaford’s Jeannica Odaris placed first in the long jump, was second in the 100 meter run, and was on the winning 4X200 and 4X100 relay teams last Tuesday against Sussex Academy and Early College School.

Khalil Burton- Laurel

Laurel’s Khalil Burton placed first in the 100 meter dash, 200 meter dash, and 400 meter run during last week’s home win over Indian River.

The Bulldogs’ Elias Elzey won the 110 meter hurdles, 300 meter hurdles, and the triple jump in last Tuesday’s victory over Indian River.
