Woodbridge boys’ basketball tops Laurel, 81-74, in high scoring game

By Bernard W. Carr Last Thursday in Greenwood, a classic, but typical Henlopen South Division basketball contest occurred between two teams, perhaps playing for their playoff lives. Malachi Hayes- Woodbridge

The Raiders’ Malachi Hayes netted 16 points and had two steals last Thursday against Laurel. Hayes added 12 points on Tuesday against Sussex Academy.

Seaford’s Luke Metzner placed first in the 200 IM and the 100 butterfly and was on the winning 200 medley relay and 100 free relay teams last Tuesday against The Salisbury School.

Delmar’s Connor Farr recorded a pin in his 144 pound match last Wednesday against Indian River. Farr also won by fall in the 150 pound match on Friday against Sussex Tech.
