Katherine Ann Richardson of Georgetown passed comfortably on Aug. 19, 2026. Born Feb. 16, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Catherine Clifton Moore and Willie E. Moore. She graduated from East Market High School in 1951. After graduation, she worked many years for the DuPont Co in Seaford until she married H. Calvert Richardson in 1965.

She is survived by her son, Howard Richardson, his wife, Stephani Fisher Richardson, and her grandson, William C. Richardson.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, H. Calvert Richardson; sister, Sarah Elizabeth “Betty” Marine; brothers, James Russell Moore, PFC William E Moore; and her best friend and sister, Emily Collins.

Ann was passionate in her life with love for her son and grandson. She was always there for family and friends, most of the time with several covered dishes of food.

She was the best mom and grandmother anyone could ask for.

Services will be held at Asbury Methodist Church, 26161 Asbury Road in Georgetown on Aug. 27. Friends may call at the church from 11-12 noon with services immediately following.
