Delmar School District in search of new board member

Tuesday night’s Delmar School Board meeting was the first official meeting for newly elected board members Neil Baker and Jordan Johnson, who were sworn in on July 1. However, the district is now looking to fill a vacancy left by Shane Bowden, who resigned from the board on July 3 after three years of service.

The deadline to apply for the board seat is July 22.

The board was also updated on plans to file a certificate of necessity for school renovations and new school construction. More in next week’s Star.
