With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Marian Hearn of Dagsboro, who died on Aug. 31, 2025 at the age of 71. She had been a resident of Delmar Nursing and Rehabilitation in Delmar and moved to Laurel with family who provided her care. She was surrounded by family, laughter, and love until her passing.
Marian was born on April 21, 1954 to Judgeson “Warren” Beck and Margaret Beck in Milford. She was the youngest of six children, a beloved mother, sister, aunt and friend.
She was preceded in death by both her mother and father as well as her three brothers, Warren “Larry” Beck, Joseph E. Beck, Sr. and Richard Beck. She is survived by her three sons, Phillip Hearn, Shannon Hearn and Brandon Jones (Kimberly); her two sisters, Patricia Short and Ruth Passwaters (Francis); and nieces and nephews, Michael (Audra) Short, Stephen (Buffy) Short, Keith (Susan) Beck, Joseph C. (Melissa) Beck, Mara Brown, Joseph E. (Erica) Beck, Kelli (Steve) Lewis, Karen Joines and Kimberly George.
Marian was a devoted member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Dagsboro for over 35 years.
A celebration of life will be held on Sept. 20 at 3 p.m. at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 32723 Swamp Road, Dagsboro, DE 19939.
