Seaford’s Cherldens Bordeau battles at midfield with DMA’s Wilmer Cedillo in the boys’ soccer match played in Seaford

Seaford goalkeeper Luke Metzner stopped an attack by DMA. On the punt, Metzner dropped it perfectly to the strikers who shared the attack but the drive was stopped by DMA. Seaford and DMA exchanged possessions and battled at midfield. Both teams were awarded direct kicks on plays and Seaford’s Cherldens Bordeau attempted a take away from behind on a DMA forward. The play put both players on the ground and a yellow card to Bordeau, his second of the season.

Seaford took a 1-0 lead on a corner kick when Jamie Roblero connected with Colasuanno who headed the ball into the goal. The Blue Jays added a goal during the two minute stoppage time when Bordeau fired a hard shot on an assist by Colasuanno.

In the second half of play, Metzner connected with Duckens Joseph Louisma who attacked the circle but the shot was inches wide at the 53rd minute.

Delaware Military got on the scoreboard when Cameron VanNess challenged Metzner on a pass to the top of the circle. VanNess was able to get his foot on the ball that rolled away from both players. VanNess won the race to the ball and pushed it into the net for the 2-1 score. The score ignited the DMA team and another attack resulted in a corner kick. The Blue Jays defense pushed the ball out of the circle but a few plays later DMA Wilmer Cedillo struck and Metzner made the save. Seaford’s Colasuanno let loose on a bullet strike to the net from about thirty yards and DMA goal keeper stretched out but the ball went through and Seaford led 3-1 at the seventy-sixth minute.

The battle continued and during the two minute stoppage DMA scored but within the next 30 seconds Colasuanno pushed the ball forward to Bordeau who bicycled a pass to Jeziel Salazar-Rodriguez who celebrated with a knee slide. Seaford won, 4-2, and moved to 1-2 on the season.
