The Seaford Community Garden and the Seaford Community of Hope are partnering to give backpacks and school supplies to the community’s children. The program, to help students be more prepared for an awesome school year with less stress for all the family, will take place on Aug. 2 from 10 a.m. to noon at 214 High Street in Seaford. 

There will be free bookmark making for adults and children and a free water bottle. The group will be collecting clear string backpacks, regular backpacks, school supplies, and used books while crafts are being made.

Extra drop off locations until the event are: Nelson Trucking at 24942 Sussex Highway, open Tuesday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m and Mr. Howard’s Music Academy at 306 E. Stein Highway in Seaford in the main entry way anytime Monday through Sunday.
