David Wolfgang of Laurel passed away on June 30, 2025 in AccentCare Hospice Center. He was born in Kulpmont, Pa. on Sept. 19, 1935 to the late George Washington Wolfgang and Mary Alice Miner Wolfgang.
David retired as an insurance adjuster; he was a talented builder and worked with his brother “Pee Wee” Wolfgang in construction for many years.
David is survived by his son, Robert D. Wolfgang; daughters, Lynn W. Twilley and Teresa W. Mercier (Mike); brothers, Edwin “Pee Wee” Wolfgang (Ruthetta) and Leon Wolfgang; brother-in-law, Franklin Hastings; grandchildren Robert Wolfgang Jr. (Brigid), Valarie Sockriter (Chris), Caitlyn Twilley (Matt), Stephen Lowe (Nicole), Amanda Lowe Whaley, Jessica Hartman (Jacob), and Maegan Mercier; 11 great-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews also survive him. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Georgia Hastings, his sister-in-law, Joyce Wolfgang, and his grandson, Phillip Lowe.
