Teresa Ellen Reed of Seaford passed away peacefully at home with her family by her side after a long and courageous battle with breast cancer.
Teresa was born Feb. 13, 1962, the daughter of Ronald and Jean Ross of Laurel.
Teresa retired with 30 years of state service with Justice of the Peace Court 4 in Seaford, as chief clerk.
Teresa is preceded in death by her grandparents, Burley and Marthalin Ross and Samuel and Edna Records and her parents, Ronald and Jean Ross.
Teresa is survived by her fiancé, Michael Hare, her sister, Debbie Phillips (Glenn Phillips, Sr), her brother, CDR Jeffery Ross, NC, USN (ret) (Tricia Ross), nephew, Shawn Phillips (Ashley Phillips) and a very special nephew, Glenn Phillips, Jr. (Carly Phillips) and their daughter, Madison Phillips who was Teresa’s pride and joy.
Teresa loved hanging out with family, friends and neighbors. She also loved working in the yard, watching the Baltimore Orioles and her beloved Pittsburgh Steelers on TV. She enjoyed spending time with Michael’s grandchildren and attending their sporting events.
Teresa was a member of the Seaford Moose Lodge 1728, the VFW (Delmar Post) Auxiliary and the American Legion Auxiliary.
The family would like to thank the following medical facilities and employees that took great care of her during her battle. The Tunnel Cancer Center of Rehoboth Beach, The Allen Cancer Center and the staff and employees at Tidal Health in Seaford.

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday June 7 at noon. The Celebration of Life will take place at the Seaford Moose Lodge #1728 located at 22759 Bridgeville Hwy, Seaford, Delaware 19973.
