On May 10, 2025 Kenneth Sellars of Edgemere, Md. left this earthly home and gained eternal life in the Heavens above.
Kenneth Earl Sellars was born on Oct. 7, 1943 to Noble Vernon Sellars & Minnie Alberta Woodard in Selma, NC. Ken graduated from Bridgeville High School in 1963 and went on to vocational school in Georgetown for four years.
Ken retired from Bethlehem Steel as a welder/pipe fitter. There he was known for his hard work, integrity, kindness and having his co-worker’s backs. He was a devoted father to his children, Kevin, Kistion, Kyle & Kenton. Ken’s greatest joy was spending time with family.
Outside of work Ken had the gift to help. When he saw a need, he was there to repair, replace, or fix and to be a friend. Ken was often found tinkering in his garage. He enjoyed crabbing, boating, fishing and sailing. Ken was involved for over ten years with the Cub Scouts Troop #722, Webelos and Boy Scouts Troop #427. Ken was a member of the Sparrows Point Yacht Club and the Church of God at Essex.
Ken is survived by his children, Kenneth “Kevin” Sellars (Kellie), Kistion-Sellars Mauzy (Brian), Kendall “Kyle” Sellars, Kenton Sellars (Ledda); his grandchildren Kaitlyn Kight (John), Krysten Sellars (Fiancé Braxton), Brittany Hargest (Brent), Michelle Schmitt (Ryan), Alexia Mauzy (Tristan), Kody Sellars, Kyla “Rosie” Sellars, Morgan Silcox (Holton), Macey Cossidenti (Nicole), McKenzie Scharf (Harley), Madison Scharf, Kenton N.B. Sellars, Maui Sellars; his great grandchildren, Kailynn Kight, Kalib Kight, Sienna Hargest, Harper Schmitt, Crew Cossidenti, Wylder Schriver; his siblings Golda Williamson, Barbara Dunbar (Dwayne), Marie Kasper (Dave), Sue Wilson (John), dear nieces and nephews too numerous to name in addition to special friends Connie & Terry.
Ken’s memory will forever be cherished by his family and friends. He was a man of unwavering faith in his Lord and Savior, full of love, strength and kindness, his legacy will continue to inspire us all.
Friends may call at the family-owned Duda-Ruck Funeral Home of Dundalk Inc. 7922 Wise Ave, on Monday, May 19 from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m., where the funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 20 at 11 a.m., interment Gardens of Faith Memorial Gardens.
