Roy Thomas Hudson of Laurel, formerly of Bishopville, Md., passed away peacefully, with family by his side on Thursday, Jan. 2, 2025 at TidalHealth Nanticoke in Seaford. Born in Salisbury, he was the son of the late Woodrow W. Hudson and Catherine (Watson) Hudson of Bishopville.
Upon high school graduation he became an automobile mechanic, working at Hudson’s Garage in Selbyville for over 40 years until he took over the business until retirement. He enjoyed camping, Assateague, surf fishing and was a life member of AMSA. He loved spending time in Ocracoke and West Virginia and especially spending time with his four legged grandchildren, Chloe and Buster.
He is survived by three daughters, Marie North Davis (Rob) of Cambridge, Kathy Littleton (Sean Tushup) of Delmar, and Cindy LeCates (Tom) of Seaford; a brother, Teddy Hudson of Millsboro; a grandson, Robert Davis (Emily); three great-grandchildren, Katherine, Evelyn and Nora.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 50 years, Lee Hudson.
A celebration of life will be announced and held at a later date.
