On Monday, Dec. 16 at 5:30 p.m., the Laurel Public Library is thrilled to present the First State Harmonizers in Concert.

The First State Harmonizers is one of the premier a cappella vocal ensembles on the Eastern Shore, and proudly represents the Mid-Atlantic District of the Barbershop Harmony Society. For the holiday season they sing a fun mix of traditional and non-traditional holiday songs in four-part barbershop harmony style. Keeping in the spirit of the season, there is always a portion of the program where they invite the audience to sing a few well-known songs with them. Intermixed with some amusing anecdotes, the program is a fun and entertaining way for patrons to get their fill of holiday songs, putting you in the holiday spirit just in time for the countdown to Christmas Day.

The First State Harmonizers rehearse Monday evenings from 7-9:30 p.m. at Avenue United Methodist Church in Milford. For details on how to join an upcoming rehearsal, contact the First State Harmonizers at 240-285-1801. All ages welcome. All children under the age of 10 must be accompanied by a responsible adult ages 18 and older at all times. Registration is not required. This program is made possible with support from the Margarette Hughes Eley Fund of the Delaware Community Foundation.
