Loving husband, father, and grandfather, local businessman

Carl “Buell” Schulze passed away peacefully at home on Aug. 10, 2024, surrounded by his family. Born to the late Carl C. and Thelma B. Schulze on Jan. 20, 1948, Carl grew up in Greenwood, graduating from Greenwood High School and Wesley College. Carl went on to have a career in the automotive industry as the former owner and operator of Walls Service Center in Milford and the Owner and President of Aamco Transmissions and Total Car Care of Seaford. Carl served on the Board of Directors for Greenwood Trust Co., and he spent many years coaching Greenwood Little League.

Carl loved the Orioles and all things baseball, his dogs, and most of all, his family. He was kind, funny, honest, and remarkably generous. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Elizabeth Walls Schulze; his son Scott Schulze; his granddaughters, Lindsay Dodge (Levi) and Kristen Norris (Jared), who were like daughters to him; three great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Carole Harrison and Connie Viehman.

A service will be held on Aug. 24 at 1 p.m. at Framptom Funeral Home, 16 W. Market St., Greenwood, with a reception immediately following. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to a charity of your choice.
