The Laurel Junior League all-star baseball team, representing Delaware and District III, opened Eastern Regional play with a 10-0 win over Dorchester (Md.) last Saturday in Dubois, Pa.

Shown (not in order) prior to the start of the Junior League baseball Eastern Regionals in Dubois, Pa. is the Laurel Junior League baseball team, the Delaware District III and state champions: Tristen Johnson, Ty Jefferson, Cameron Dieter, Kalib Thompson, Kayden Mitchell, Max Allen, Nathan Moore, Colton Crockett, Josiah Phillips, AJ Cannon, and Uriah Taylor-Brown.

Laurel’s Cameron Deiter earned the win on the mound, allowing two hits and one walk and striking out three in four shutout innings while drawing a pair of walks and scoring two runs. Kalib Thompson collected two triples and a walk, scored a run, and drove in four runs; Tristen Johnson had one hit, one walk, one steal, three runs, and three RBIs; Max Allen added two hits, one walk, one run, and one steal; and Kayden Mitchell contributed two hits and a RBI. Uriah Taylor-Brown and Ty Jefferson each had a walk and run; AJ Cannon had two walks, one run, and one RBI; and Nathan Moore drove in a run. Colton Crockett also pitched one inning and allowed one hit, one walk, and no runs and Taylor-Brown tossed two shutout innings allowing no runs, one hit, and one walk and striking out one.

Laurel Junior baseball team moves to 2-0 in Eastern Regionals- The Laurel Junior baseball all-star team topped Connecticut, 14-2, last Sunday to move to 2-0 in the Eastern Regionals.

A.J. Cannon went 2-for-3 with a triple, two runs, three RBIs, and a steal; Uriah Taylor-Brown was 3-for-3 with two runs and an RBI; Nathan Moore had two hits, a run, and two RBIs; and Josiah Phillips added two hits, two runs, and a walk. Tristen Johnson also had a double, walk, a steal, and two runs; Kayden Mitchell contributed a hit, a run, two RBIs, a steal, and two walks; Colton Crockett added a hit, run, and an RBI; Kalib Thompson had a hit, a walk, and two runs; Max Allen chipped in with a hit, a walk, and an RBI; Ty Jefferson scored a run; and Cameron Deiter drove in a run.

Crockett allowed no hits and struck out three in four innings and Phillips gave up one hit and one run and struck out two in one inning.
