James Edward See of Wallace, West Virginia passed away at his home on May 22, 2024. He was born on July 21, 1931 in nearby Brown, West Virginia, a son to the late Charles B. and Blanche See. His family moved away from West Virginia eventually settling in Delmar, Md. Jim graduated from Delmar High School in 1949 and served in the United States Army communications corps for four years. He worked at the DuPont nylon manufacturing plant in Seaford as a shift mechanic and retired in the late 1990s after 44 years of service. He continued to live in the Laurel area for a few years after retiring before moving back to West Virginia. He enjoyed woodworking and gardening.
Jim is survived by his longtime companion Ms. Phyllis Joan Weber; his three sons and their families, David Bradley See (Leigh Ann) of Delmar, Edward Allen See (Maria) of Melbourne, FL, and William James See (Teresa) of Delmar, Del. He is also survived by several grandchildren and their families; Jessica Hartman (Jake, children Benjamin, Bree) of Delmar, Del., Kristen Murphy (Michael, children Kale, Kyla) of Rockledge, FL, and Gabriel See of Melbourne, FL. He is also survived by cousins Betty Walker (Paul) of Jane Lew, WV, Don Hutson (Caroline) of Nutter Fort, WV and several nieces and nephews in West Virginia, North Carolina and Tennessee.
