George Silas Gabriel, son, father, husband, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend was born in Monroe, Louisiana on Sept. 8, 1929 to Birdie Ham and Robert Lee Gabriel. 

He joined the newly created “Air Force” in 1948. George worked a variety of jobs and finally achieved his dream of creating his own company. In the bio-medical research field, he established Bio Medic Corporation which included Lab Products Inc, Maryland Plastics, Harford Systems, Professional Leasing, Bio Medic Data Systems and Hydropac. He worked diligently for 60 years, sold his companies in 2020 and retired at 90.

He leaves behind his wife, Helen of 48 years; memories of his deceased sons – George Jr. and Thomas; his two remaining sons Richard and Robert; his beloved adopted son Thomas R. Jones and his wife Andrea; grandchildren: Elicia Banks-Gabriel, Amanda M. Gabriel, Jared Gabriel, Corinne Gabriel, Tommy, David and Claire Jones; great-grandchildren: Khalil and Mila Gabriel, Emma Jones, Gabriel Jones, Sawyer Jones; in-laws: the Lagerman Family: James, Frank and David Lagerman, Mary Ryan, her husband Owen, and Evelyn Kessel and her husband, Philip. He is also survived by nieces and nephews: Bill Bradley, his wife Debbie, David Kirtley, Fredda Kay Brannan, Robert C. Adams, Ian Ryan, his wife Carlene and son Dorian Gabriel Ryan, James R. Lagerman, his wife Sarah, Evelyn Vogt, her husband Steve and daughter Katie, Laura Kessel, her son Griffin, and Gregory Kessel and his fiancée Amanda Rivera.

He was an amazing, creative, caring and gentle man who achieved his dreams- a loving family, creating a business and having a myriad of friends and acquaintances. He will be remembered for his love, kindness, generosity and laughter.

A private family service and burial was held at Volusia Memorial Park in Ormond Beach, Florida. A celebration to honor his life will be held at a later date.
