When hiring a contractor to build or remodel your home, you want someone honest, reliable and experienced. You can count on JD & Kisha Butler of Delmarva Building Solutions, a family-owned and operated business.

The Butlers have been doing remodeling for 19 years and the company’s core players have over a century of combined experience.

Delmarva Building Solutions specializes in residential and light commercial remodeling, renovations and additions. With its customers’ needs always being put to the forefront of each project, the company is able to take customers’ ideas from a mere thought to reality. This is achieved by paying close attention to the customer’s needs and desires. “All of our clients have the same perception about Delmarva Building Solutions. We are known to be one of the most client-friendly construction companies in the industry,” said Kisha.

Company projects range from cosmetic repairs to intensive structural rebuilds. JD Butler is happy when he can save a home. In one instance, Delmarva Building Solutions removed a sub floor, jacked up the house 4 inches, removed the damaged center support beam and replaced it with a new floor joists and sub floor. Then luxury vinyl plank (LVP) flooring was installed throughout the first floor of the house, providing a realistic look in an affordable, water-resistant and low-maintenance material. “The customer was ecstatic,” JD said.

Delmarva Building Solutions has grown to include 10 full-time employees, with the help of regular and trusted subcontractors when needed. As general contractors, the company can handle plumbing, electrical and HVAC work as well.

“With plenty of years of new construction experience as well, the company is planning to devote a division to new construction. We have new construction projects set to begin within the next month. All homes are built with the same top tier quality craftsmanship that has made the company a success for so many years. We also work with buyers, sellers and several local realtors on settlement and punch out items. We take pride and have pleasure in bringing buyers and sellers together. If you are a local realtor or broker and would like the experience of having a professional contractor assist your team and help create a smooth transaction with a quick turn around, don’t hesitate to give us a call,” Kisha invited.

“We specialize in roofing, siding, windows, doors, flooring, kitchen, baths, insulation, drywall, custom painting, additions, decks and patios of stamped concrete, fencing… We do it all and have members of our team who specialize in every area of construction and remodeling,” she continued.

The Butlers and their team want to help customers realize the full potential of their property. “We take pride in our dedication to exceptional service,” JD said. “We believe that every project deserves our full attention and expertise, no matter how big or small. Our commitment to delivering high-quality results and exceptional customer satisfaction is what sets us apart in the industry.

“We believe the quality of our work speaks for itself,” Butler added. “That’s why we’re dedicated to providing top-notch craftsmanship on every project, from start to finish.”

Delmarva Business Solutions continues to give back to the community, offering a five percent discount to military personnel, teachers, police officers and first responders, as well as easy financing options.

JD Butler has a background of over 10 years in management and has been a licensed home inspector. His background is essential to insuring that your project is managed in a highly professional manner, all while insuring that your home’s structural integrity is at the forefront. He can be found meeting customers, on the job site, creating estimates, supervising the crews and ordering materials.

Bryan Lake, of Salisbury, Maryland, a dedicated husband and father of three boys, is the site superintendent.

Carlos Perdomo, originally from Honduras, is also a dedicated husband and father of three. Perdomo is site supervisor with a wealth of knowledge in all areas of construction.

Richard Lyons, a father who relocated from Baltimore, holds a background as a union electrician. Lyons manages site set up and overall safe maintenance of worksites. He also oversees any electrical needs.

The newest member of the team at Delmarva Building Solutions is Chris Deegan, father and husband. He is the lead carpenter and brings a refreshing optimism and clear focus to the team.

Kisha has a master’s degree in special education and also holds a certification in English as a second language in grades K-12. She served as a teacher in Talbot County Public Schools for 21 years. Now she takes care of office work for their company. “I assist with anything having to do with sales leads, licensing, permits, payroll, advertising and recruitment of new talent. I also manage the web presence,” she said.

She has done all that while working full time as a teacher, taking care of their family and three English bulldogs. Although Delmarva Building Solutions is a first generation contractor, the next generation, Derwin Butler, is in training to propel the company well into the future.

The firm is licensed and insured for work in Maryland and Delaware. Located at 2203 Northwood Drive, Unit 13C, in Salisbury, Delmarva Building Solutions can be reached at 410-200-8993 or by emailing JD at jbutler.dbs@gmail.com. One client, Mark, highly recommended the company: “We found Delmarva Building Solutions to be a contractor that was reasonable, showed up on time and went over and above everything we wanted done. The employees were very friendly and answered all our questions. But the best part is, when they finished our job, it was cleaned up like no one had been there.”
