SVN Miller Commercial Real Estate hosted their 13th annual Commercial Real Estate Forum, “Beyond All Limits,” on Friday, March 25, at Salisbury University.

Speakers included City of Salisbury Mayor Jake Day; Wesley Cox, CCIM, advisor, SVN Miller Commercial Real Estate; Lauren San Filippo, VP and senior investment strategist, Bank of America; and Anirban Basu, chairman and CEO, Sage Policy Group.

This year included a “Fireside Chat” with local experts Dave Ryan, executive director, SWED; Brenden Frederick, principal, Becker Morgan Group and Daniel Mills, VP of Business Development, Delmarva Veteran Builders and moderator John McClellan, senior advisor, SVN. Each spoke on the theme of “Supply Chain, Construction and CRE Development,” discussing pain points, trends and predictions in their respective industries.

“Specific to commercial real estate, rising interest rates will likely start to soften the robust market we have been experiencing over the last 24 months so investors should take advantage of the low interest rate environment we still have. While I predict 2022 will be another year of growth, the economy will remain unbalanced with supply struggling to keep up with demand. Couple that with rising wages and a low unemployment rate and we see higher than average economy-wide inflation,” said Anirban Basu, chairman and CEO, Sage Policy Group.

“We use this platform to link our community with local, regional and national market information and speakers they may not easily have access to. We design the agenda to include relevant and useful information for all attendees from relative market professionals up to million-dollar investors,” said Committee Member, Amber Bostwick.
