JA tournament raises over $45,000

Junior Achievement of the Eastern Shore (JAES) raised $45,640 recently at its 35th Annual Golf Tournament. Held at the Glen Riddle Golf Club in Berlin, BBSI – Salisbury presented the event.

Sold out at 140 golfers, the tournament was the organization’s largest in 35 years. Over 30 businesses from Talbot, Caroline, Dorchester, Wicomico, and Worcester counties attended the event.

This school year, the organization doubled its student numbers and expanded its service area. The expansion reflects the 35 percent increase in program demand from the school districts.
