Energize Delaware provides a wide range of programs to support energy efficiency and renewable energy adoption across Delaware.

These initiatives help residents, businesses and organizations reduce energy costs and environmental impact while contributing to a sustainable economy.

The Low-Interest Commercial Loan Program offers up to $2 million in financing for nonprofits, schools and businesses to implement energy-saving projects, with terms of up to 20 years based on projected savings.

Energize Delaware’s Energy Efficiency Investment Fund (EEIF) program offers support for nonprofits exempt from the Public Utility Tax (PUT), providing financial assistance for energy-efficient upgrades.

Nonprofit energy assessments are free of charge through the UD Industrial Assessment Center. Administered by DNREC, EEIF rebates help non-residential facilities who pay the PUT replace outdated equipment with efficient alternatives.

For homeowners, the Home Energy Efficiency Loan Program provides financing between 100 percent of the cost up to $50,000 for improvements such as HVAC systems, insulation and smart thermostats. With fixed low-interest rates and no equity requirements, the program ensures accessibility to new homeowners as well.

The Residential Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment (EVSE) Rebate Program promotes cleaner transportation by offering rebates for Level 2 EV chargers installed at homes.

Running until June 30, 2025, the program covers up to 50 percent of equipment and installation costs for market-rate customers and 90 percent for income-eligible participants. Applicants must submit their requests within 60 days of installation and use licensed electricians to qualify.
