Habitat for Humanity of Wicomico Habitat’s Chefs for Habitat Gourmet Gala returns to the Wicomico Youth and Civic Center on Saturday, Feb. 18.
This year, Chefs for Habitat is bigger and better, celebrating Wicomico Habitat’s 35th year of building homes, communities and hope. Since 1987, HFHWC has built/renovated 72 homes in Wicomico County, and completed 83 critical home repairs since the Roof and Home Repair/Aging in Place program’s inception in 2006.
Chefs for Habitat begins at 6:30 p.m. in the Normandy Arena of the Civic Center. Local chefs will prepare signature small plates for guests to enjoy. Other highlights include music by the popular band Double Nickels; dancing; a silent auction featuring unique catered dinners contributed by gala chefs; and a live, on-state competition by local celebrity fundraisers. Dress is semi-formal and the wearing of jade green is encouraged to help celebrate Wicomico Habitat’s 35th anniversary.
