The Delmar Police Department will hold its annual Blue Light Night on Friday, Aug. 1 from 5-8 p.m. in State Street Park in Delmar. The free event is open to residents of Delmar as well as Sussex County and Wicomico County residents.
Blue Light Night is an opportunity to strengthen bonds in neighborhoods across town by bringing together law enforcement, community leaders, and citizens.
Blue Light Night is designed to: Heighten awareness of crime and drug prevention; generate support for and participation in local anti-crime programs; strengthen neighborhood unity and police-community partnerships; and send a message to criminals that neighborhoods are organized and are fighting back.
