The Blades Police Department’s 18th Annual Blades National Night Out will take place Aug. 5 from 6-8 p.m. at Blades Park, located at 100 East 7th St. in Blades. There will be free pizza, hot dogs, drinks, and snacks and entertainment, including the music of DJ Sky Brady, games for children with prizes, K-9 demo, fire department demo, rock wall, and more.

National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes strong police community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make the neighborhood a safer, more caring place to live and work. This is a night for the town to stand together and promote awareness, safety, and neighborhood unity. The Blades National Night Out showcases the vital importance of police/community partnerships and citizens’ involvement. When law enforcement and the community work together, some amazing things can happen.
