Bally’s Dover Casino Resort is the largest hotel and casino in Delaware and it’s still growing, said Nick Polcino, vice president and general manager.

The hotel at Bally’s Dover offers 500 comfortable, modern rooms and deluxe amenities such as a fitness room, indoor swimming pool and more. It’s the perfect space to relax, unplug and feel at home, whether you’re in town to gamble, see a show, get away with family or rekindle a romance. The resort was voted “Best Hotel, Best Suites and Best Hotel Staff” by Casino Player Magazine, as well as “Best of Gaming.”

Polcino said, “We’ve added a VIP check-in open on weekends to expedite the process for our customers, with added features and amenities.”

The Bally Boutique has also been updated and relocated. Now closer to check-in, the retail store features grab and go items, snacks, drinks and sundries for hotel guests who may have forgotten their toothbrush.

Of course, you don’t have to stay overnight to enjoy the action at the casino, which is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The bright lights and vibrant ambiance at Bally’s Dover Casino Resort introduce guests to a fun and exciting way to experience casino gambling in Delaware. Get in on the action with offerings ranging from all your favorite table games and nearly 2,000 slots. In addition, there’s a 250-seat sports book with live harness racing from November through March and simulcast harness and thoroughbred racing year-round. Its generous purses attract the finest teams on the East Coast and beyond. “This is an important area for us to support Delaware agriculture and the horsemen of the state,” Polcino stressed.

The casino was completely redone in 2022, starting with the actual flooring material and a re-arranged layout making room for many new games. In 2024, two underutilized retail shops were removed to make room for even more slot products.

An outdoor gaming area has been added to the north end of the property where the bus terminal used to be. While fully covered, heated and air conditioned, the area gets 25 to 30 percent open air inside, so there’s more of an outdoor feeling without being inside the casino. The ventilation and good circulation enable smoking to be permitted.

From live music to comedy shows to family-friendly entertainment, the Rollins Center venue at Bally’s Dover Casino Resort has something for everyone. Catch legendary music groups or solo performers such as Brian McKnight, an R&B musician rhythm and blues player coming Friday, March 14. Tickets are on sale now online at casinos.ballys.com.

The Macau Kitchen, a shiny new outlet to enjoy at Bally’s.

What’s a night out without a good meal? At Bally’s Dover you’ll find a diverse selection of restaurants with some of the best food in Delaware. The latest addition to Bally’s restaurant line-up is an Asian fusion restaurant, the Macau Kitchen, which opens in mid-January. Tradition meets innovation at the Macau Kitchen which features a newly renovated dining room. Celebrate the rich flavors of Asian cuisine centered around signature noodle soups, wok specialties and traditional Chinese dishes. Steaming bowls of handcrafted noodle soups like Vietnamese Pho feature only the finest ingredients including house-made aromatic broths that promise to warm your soul. Each noodle soup is a comforting journey through authentic flavors and textures, making it the perfect meal any time of day.

“With that, we’ve added high limit gaming to the Macau Kitchen, catering to higher end business, something for which there is a growing need in our region,” Polcino said.

Macau Kitchen will serve traditional American breakfast items Monday through Friday.

Hot breakfast items, grab and go salads, and house-made treats such as pastries and muffins, soft pretzels and fruit tarts are available at Best Odds Coffee & Quick Bites. Here you will also find expanded seating and a new grill and fryer ready to cook up a signature burger, French fries or wings.

There are several other restaurants to choose from. Enjoy a meal worthy of royalty at Royal Prime Steakhouse, a benchmark for quality where you can enjoy meals which use the finest ingredients like perfectly cut, well-marbled world class Black Angus beef, premium natural Iowa pork and other carefully hand-selected ingredients.

Enjoy your drink in the Carousel Bar area or eat breakfast, lunch or dinner in a 250-seat dining room.

While Bally’s Dover can boast about some of the finest rooms, restaurants and gaming available in the state, what they really want you to know is how much they care and are deeply committed to the community. Not only do they donate financially to requests throughout the year, they also give their time to those same organizations.

For example, on Earth Day 2024, as they have for years, the Bally’s CREW (Community Resources, Employee Wellness) team picked up their rakes and trash bags for a park cleanup day at Shutte Park in Dover. Adopt-A-Highway is another cleanup project. Their 1.5-mile section on Dyke Branch Road gets a trash removal several times a year.

On Sept. 19, the Bally’s Dover Food and Beverage team participated in The Farmer and The Chef event. The resort’s Longo’s outlet collaborated with Fifer’s Orchards to prepare and serve tasting samples made from locally grown produce, with all proceeds supporting the Food Bank.

In partnership with the Delaware Restaurant Association, Bally’s Dover hosted a cooking class at Dover Middle School of Excellence and Innovation in September, bringing culinary education to life for over 60 enthusiastic students and 20 dedicated staff members.

Through multiple collection events during the past two years, employees have donated school supplies. They participated in Rock Your Socks (World Down Syndrome Day) and Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Bally’s Dover gave $15,000 to sponsor the Delaware Breast Cancer Coalition’s upcoming gala and a $20,000 sponsorship check to Central Delaware Habitat for Humanity and put on a fireworks display on July 3, to the delight of thousands of residents. “It is our responsibility as one of the largest companies in the county to give back to the community,” Polcino said.

In celebration of First Responders Day in October, the Bally’s Dover team delivered treats to four locations across Kent County and to its own security team.

“Employees are the heartbeat of our business,” said Polcino. “Our commitment to exceptional customer service is rooted in the dedication of our team, and they are truly integral to our daily operations. We prioritize their well-being with initiatives like our quarterly employee appreciation events, which feature food, prizes, giveaways and games as a token of our gratitude for their hard work.

When National Snack Day aligned with National Employee Appreciation Day, Bally’s Dover distributed over 1,200 snacks to its team members throughout the day. During the holiday season, we also show our appreciation with turkeys, hams and gift cards for each team member.

For staff members working on Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year’s Day, we provide meals to ensure they feel valued. Each of them plays a vital role in making our company what it is, and their dedication, hard work and passion do not go unnoticed.”
