Air Doctorx is a family affair. Mark Sabean, who founded the company in 1989, is president and CEO. He has 40 years experience in the industry. His wife, Lori, does the accounting. Sabean is pleased that he and his employees are able to establish a relationship with clients, many of whom are comfortable having work done even when they’re not home. “More than 50% of our workforce are prior military,” said Sabean, who served eight years in the Air Force, including a tour in Saudi Arabia before the Gulf War. “Most of our mechanics go through a four-year Delaware apprenticeship program which we sponsor, and all our mechanics have 200 hours of continuing education every year, in addition to on-the-job training.”
