A “Back2School Book Bag and Supplies” giveaway will be part of the Seventh Annual Seaford Day celebration held at Nutter Park on Saturday, Aug. 22. This event will highlight a variety of special events, including a basketball tournament with eight teams competing. In addition to the book bag giveaways, there will also be activities including a family field day, a bounce house for the kids and fresh ice cream. Event organizers say the book bags will be given away to children “whether they are in school, or not.” Also participating in the event is the Western Sussex Boys & Girls Club in Seaford. Club representative Melissa Ockles encourages community involvement for the event. “We would love to have our entire community be involved in making sure all our littles have their back to school needs,” she said. “The men that are putting this event on are filled with passion and soul for our future generation.”
