St. Philip’s Episcopal Church in Laurel will host a community presentation on Advance Care Planning and End-of-Life Directives on Wednesday, Sept. 2 at 3 p.m.

The program will be presented by Deacon Paula Waite, a chaplain at Beebe Healthcare in Lewes. She will offer practical information about advance care planning and the importance of making one’s wishes known regarding medical care and end-of-life decisions.

Advance care planning can provide clarity and peace of mind not only for individuals, but also for family members and loved ones who may someday be called upon to make difficult decisions. The presentation will offer an opportunity to learn more about the process and to consider questions that are often easier to address before a medical crisis occurs.

The program is open to the entire community, and all are welcome. There is no need to be a member of St. Philip’s or any church to attend.

The presentation will be held at St. Philip’s Episcopal Church, 600 S. Central Ave. in Laurel, beginning at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 2. Please use the glass doors off of Central Ave. to enter.
